Irish In The NFL – Week Nine

Throughout NFL training camps, 41 former Notre Dame student-athletes participated in team drills and games. At the end of camp, 27 (24 who finished their career at ND) former Irish football players made active NFL rosters, while three were put on the injured reserve and four on practice squads. Below, you will find all the former Notre Dame student-athletes and how they did in their week nine games in the NFL.

Active Roster

Sam Young – OL – Jacksonville Jaguars – BYE WEEK

Will Yeatman – OL – Miami Dolphins (Transferred to Maryland) – saw game action in 22-20 win over Cincinnati

Brady Quinn – QB – St. Louis Rams – did not see game action in 28-21 loss to Tennessee

Darrin Walls – CB – New York Jets – made a tackle in 26-20 win over New Orleans
SEASON: Has seen action in nine games, starting three while tallying 17 tackles and four pass deflections.

Tyler Eifert – TE – Cincinnati Bengals – caught three passes for 14 yards in 22-20 loss to Miami
SEASON: Has started all nine games this season for the Bengals, catching 27 balls for 313 yards and a touchdown.

Trevor Robinson – OL – Cincinnati Bengals – was inactive in 22-20 loss to Miami

Ryan Harris – OL – Houston Texans – saw action in 27-24 loss to Indianapolis

Sergio Brown – S – Indianapolis Colts – made one tackle in 27-24 win over Houston
SEASON: Has seen action in all eight games this season, tallying eight tackles and a fumble recovery.

David Bruton – S – Denver Broncos – BYE WEEK

Anthony Fasano – TE – Kansas City Chiefs – started at tight end and caught one ball for 20 yards in a 23-13 win over Buffalo
SEASON: Started five games (inactive for four games due to injury), catching 11 passes for 95 yards.

Manti Te’o – LB – San Diego Chargers – registered nine tackles in a 30-24 loss to Washington.
SEASON: Started five games (inactive for three games due to injury), tallying 26 tackles.

Justin Tuck – DE – New York Giants – BYE WEEK
SEASON: Has seen action in all eight games this season, starting seven, accumulating 30 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

Theo Riddick – RB – Detroit Lions – BYE WEEK

Joe Fauria – TE – Detroit Lions (Transferred to UCLA) – BYE WEEK
SEASON: Has seen action in all eight games, catching eight passes for 81 yards and five touchdowns.

Robert Blanton – DB – Minnesota Vikings – recorded three tackles in 27-23 loss to Dallas
SEASON: Has seen action in all eight games, recording 11 tackles on the season.

John Carlson – TE – Minnesota Vikings – caught four passes for 23 yards in 27-23 loss to Dallas
SEASON: Has seen action in all eight games this season, catching 11 passes for 61 yards.

Kyle Rudolph – TE – Minnesota Vikings – caught two passes for 35 yards and a touchdown in a 27-23 loss to Dallas
SEASON: Has started every game this season, catching 30 passes for 313 yards and three touchdowns.

Harrison Smith – S – Minnesota Vikings – did not see action (injured) in 27-23 loss to Dallas

John Sullivan – OL – Minnesota Vikings – started at the center position in 27-23 loss to Dallas

Zeke Motta – S – Atlanta Falcons – Did not see game action in 34-10 loss to Carolina

J.J. Jansen – LS – Carolina Panthers – Saw action in 34-10 win over Atlanta

Derek Landri – DL – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – tallied three tackles in 27-24 loss to Seattle

Michael Floyd – WR – Arizona Cardinals – BYE WEEK
SEASON: Has started all eight games this season, catching 34 passes for 433 yards and two touchdowns.

Ronald Talley – DL – Arizona Cardinals (Transferred to Delaware) – BYE WEEK

Ian Williams – DL – San Francisco 49ers – BYE WEEK

Golden Tate – WR – Seattle Seahawks – caught three passes for 29 yards and a 71-yard punt return in a come from behind 27-24 win over Tampa Bay
SEASON: Has caught 35 passes for 468 yards and three touchdowns on the season and has two rushing attempts for 29 yards.
