Irish In The NFL – Week 12

Throughout NFL training camps, 41 former Notre Dame student-athletes participated in team drills and games. At the end of camp, 27 (24 who finished their career at ND) former Irish football players made active NFL rosters, while three were put on the injured reserve and five on practice squads. Below, you will find all the former Notre Dame student-athletes and how they did in their week 12 games in the NFL.

Active Roster

Sam Young – OL – Jacksonville Jaguars – saw action in 13-6 win over Houston

Will Yeatman – OL – Miami Dolphins (Transferred to Maryland) – did not see action due to injury (torn ACL) in 20-16 loss to Carolina

Brady Quinn – QB – St. Louis Rams – moved to injured reserve prior to 42-21 win over Chicago

Darrin Walls – CB – New York Jets – one tackle in a 19-3 loss to Baltimore
SEASON: Has seen action in all 11 games, starting three while tallying 18 tackles and four pass deflections.

Tyler Eifert – TE – Cincinnati Bengals – BYE WEEK
SEASON: Has started all 11 games this season for the Bengals, catching 31 balls for 377 yards and a touchdown.

Trevor Robinson – OL – Cincinnati Bengals – BYE WEEK

Ryan Harris – OL – Houston Texans – saw action in 13-6 loss to Jacksonville

Sergio Brown – S – Indianapolis Colts – tallied one tackle and a blocked FG in a 40-11 loss to Arizona
SEASON: Has seen action in all 11 games this season, tallying nine tackles, a fumble recovery and a blocked FG.

David Bruton – S – Denver Broncos – made three tackles in 34-31 loss to New England

Anthony Fasano – TE – Kansas City Chiefs – caught four passes for 21 yards and a touchdown in 41-38 loss to San Diego
SEASON: Started seven games (inactive for four games due to injury), catching 19 passes for 153 yards and two touchdowns.

Manti Te’o – LB – San Diego Chargers – registered three tackles and a pass deflection in a 41-38 win over Kansas City
SEASON: Started eight games (inactive for three games due to injury), tallying 39 tackles.

Justin Tuck – DE – New York Giants – registered four tackles and a sack in a 24-21 loss to Dallas
SEASON: Has seen action in all 11 games this season, starting 10, accumulating 38 tackles and 2.5 sacks.

Theo Riddick – RB – Detroit Lions – did not record any statistics in 24-21 loss to Tampa Bay

Joe Fauria – TE – Detroit Lions (Transferred to UCLA) – caught one ball for 10 yards and a touchdown in a 24-21 loss to Tampa Bay
SEASON: Has seen action in all 11 games, catching 11 passes for 130 yards and six touchdowns.

Robert Blanton – DB – Minnesota Vikings – recorded five tackles in 26-26 tie to Green Bay
SEASON: Has seen action in all 11 games, recording 25 tackles on the season.

John Carlson – TE – Minnesota Vikings – caught three passes for 36 yards in a 26-26 tie to Green Bay
SEASON: Has seen action in all 11 games this season, catching 26 passes for 264 yards and a touchdown.

Kyle Rudolph – TE – Minnesota Vikings – did not play due to injury in a 26-26 tie to Green Bay
SEASON: Started every game this season before getting injured, catching 30 passes for 313 yards and three touchdowns.

Harrison Smith – S – Minnesota Vikings – did not see action (injured) in a 26-26 tie to Green Bay

John Sullivan – OL – Minnesota Vikings – started at the center position in a 26-26 tie to Green Bay

Zeke Motta – S – Atlanta Falcons – saw game action in 17-13 loss to New Orleans

J.J. Jansen – LS – Carolina Panthers – Saw action at long snapper in 20-16 win over Miami

Derek Landri – DL – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – saw action in 24-21 win over Detroit

Michael Floyd – WR – Arizona Cardinals – caught seven passes for 104 yards in a 40-11 win over Indianapolis
SEASON: Has started all 11 games this season, catching 49 passes for 761 yards and three touchdowns.

Ronald Talley – DL – Arizona Cardinals (Transferred to Delaware) – saw game action in 40-11 win over Indianapolis

Ian Williams – DL – San Francisco 49ers – Did not see game action (Injury) in 27-6 win over Washington

Golden Tate – WR – Seattle Seahawks – BYE WEEK
SEASON: Has caught 42 passes for 600 yards and four touchdowns on the season and has two rushing attempts for 29 yards.
