Irish In The NFL – Week 15

Throughout NFL training camps, 41 former Notre Dame student-athletes participated in team drills and games. At the end of camp, 27 (24 who finished their career at ND) former Irish football players made active NFL rosters, while three were put on the injured reserve and five on practice squads. Below, you will find all the former Notre Dame student-athletes and how they did in their week 15 games in the NFL.

Active Roster

Sam Young – OL – Jacksonville Jaguars – saw action in 27-20 loss to Buffalo

Will Yeatman – OL – Miami Dolphins (Transferred to Maryland) – did not see action due to injury (torn ACL) in 24-20 win over New England

Brady Quinn – QB – St. Louis Rams – did not see action due to injury in 27-16 win over New Orleans

Darrin Walls – CB – New York Jets – saw action in a 30-20 loss to Carolina
SEASON: Has seen action in all 14 games, starting three while tallying 20 tackles and four pass deflections.

Tyler Eifert – TE – Cincinnati Bengals – caught three passes for 33 yards and a touchdown in a 30-20 loss to Pittsburgh
SEASON: Has started all 14 games this season for the Bengals, catching 38 balls for 439 yards and two touchdowns.

Trevor Robinson – OL – Cincinnati Bengals – saw action in 30-20 loss to Pittsburgh

Ryan Harris – OL – Houston Texans – saw action in 25-3 loss to Indianapolis

Sergio Brown – S – Indianapolis Colts – saw action in 25-3 win over Houston
SEASON: Has seen action in all 14 games this season, tallying nine tackles, two fumble recoveries and a blocked FG.

David Bruton – S – Denver Broncos – saw action in 27-20 loss to San Diego
SEASON: Has seen action in all 14 games this season, making 18 tackles.

Anthony Fasano – TE – Kansas City Chiefs – did not see action in 56-31 win over Oakland
SEASON: Started eight games (inactive for six games due to injury), catching 22 passes for 181 yards and three touchdowns.

Manti Te’o – LB – San Diego Chargers – registered two tackles in 27-20 win over Denver
SEASON: Started 11 games (inactive for three games due to injury), tallying 48 tackles and four pass deflections.

Justin Tuck – DE – New York Giants – registered six tackles, 0.5 sacks in a 23-0 loss to Seattle
SEASON: Has seen action in all 14 games this season, starting 13, accumulating 55 tackles and 9.0 sacks.

Theo Riddick – RB – Detroit Lions – caught one pass for six yards in an 18-16 loss to Baltimore

Joe Fauria – TE – Detroit Lions (Transferred to UCLA) – caught one pass for 14 yards and a touchdown in an 18-16 loss to Baltimore
SEASON: Has seen action in all 14 games, catching 12 passes for 144 yards and seven touchdowns.

Robert Blanton – DB – Minnesota Vikings – recorded eight tackles in a 48-30 win over Philadelphia
SEASON: Has seen action in all 14 games, recording 45 tackles on the season.

John Carlson – TE – Minnesota Vikings – did not see action (injury) in 48-30 win over Philadelphia
SEASON: Has seen action in 13 games this season, catching 32 passes for 344 yards and a touchdown.

Kyle Rudolph – TE – Minnesota Vikings – did not play due to injury in 48-30 win over Philadelphia
SEASON: Started every game this season before getting injured, catching 30 passes for 313 yards and three touchdowns.

Harrison Smith – S – Minnesota Vikings – came back from missing eight games to injury to make eight tackles in 48-30 win over Philadelphia

John Sullivan – OL – Minnesota Vikings – started at the center position in 48-30 win over Philadelphia

Zeke Motta – S – Atlanta Falcons – tallied six tackles and a pass deflection in a 27-26 win over Washington

J.J. Jansen – LS – Carolina Panthers – Saw action at long snapper in a 30-20 win over the New York Jets

Derek Landri – DL – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – tallied a tackle in a 33-14 loss to San Francisco

Michael Floyd – WR – Arizona Cardinals – caught two passes for 33 yards in 37-34 win over Tennessee
SEASON: Has started all 14 games this season, catching 58 passes for 919 yards and four touchdowns.

Ronald Talley – DL – Arizona Cardinals (Transferred to Delaware) – saw game action in 37-34 win over Tennessee

Ian Williams – DL – San Francisco 49ers – Did not see game action (Injury) in 33-14 win over Tampa Bay

Golden Tate – WR – Seattle Seahawks – caught two passes for 25 yards in 23-0 win over the New York Giants
SEASON: Has caught 54 passes for 735 yards and four touchdowns on the season and has two rushing attempts for 29 yards.
