Irish In The NFL – Week 16

Throughout NFL training camps, 41 former Notre Dame student-athletes participated in team drills and games. At the end of camp, 27 (24 who finished their career at ND) former Irish football players made active NFL rosters, while three were put on the injured reserve and five on practice squads. Below, you will find all the former Notre Dame student-athletes and how they did in their week 16 games in the NFL.

Active Roster

Sam Young – OL – Jacksonville Jaguars – saw action in 20-16 loss to Tennessee

Will Yeatman – OL – Miami Dolphins (Transferred to Maryland) – did not see action due to injury (torn ACL) in 19-0 loss to Buffalo

Brady Quinn – QB – St. Louis Rams – did not see action due to injury in 23-13 win over Tampa Bay.

Darrin Walls – CB – New York Jets – saw action in a 24-13 win over Cleveland
SEASON: Has seen action in all 15 games, starting three while tallying 20 tackles and four pass deflections.

Tyler Eifert – TE – Cincinnati Bengals – caught one pass for 6 yards in a 42-14 win over Minnesota
SEASON: Has started all 15 games this season for the Bengals, catching 39 balls for 445 yards and two touchdowns.

Trevor Robinson – OL – Cincinnati Bengals – saw action in 42-14 win over Minnesota

Ryan Harris – OL – Houston Texans – saw action in 37-13 loss to Denver

Sergio Brown – S – Indianapolis Colts – saw action in 23-7 win over Kansas City
SEASON: Has seen action in all 15 games this season, tallying nine tackles, two fumble recoveries and a blocked FG.

David Bruton – S – Denver Broncos – saw action in 37-13 win over Houston
SEASON: Has seen action in all 15 games this season, making 18 tackles.

Anthony Fasano – TE – Kansas City Chiefs – caught one pass for 19 yards in a 23-7 loss to Indianapolis
SEASON: Started nine games (inactive for six games due to injury), catching 23 passes for 200 yards and three touchdowns.

Manti Te’o – LB – San Diego Chargers – registered four tackles in 26-13 win over Oakland
SEASON: Started 12 games (inactive for three games due to injury), tallying 52 tackles and four pass deflections.

Justin Tuck – DE – New York Giants – registered two tackles and an interception in a 23-20 win over Detroit
SEASON: Has seen action in all 15 games this season, starting 14, accumulating 57 tackles, 9.0 sacks and an interception

Theo Riddick – RB – Detroit Lions – toted the ball twice for eight yards and a touchdown in a 23-20 loss to the New York Giants

Joe Fauria – TE – Detroit Lions (Transferred to UCLA) – caught three passes for 43 yards in a 23-20 loss to the New York Giants
SEASON: Has seen action in all 15 games, catching 15 passes for 187 yards and seven touchdowns.

Robert Blanton – DB – Minnesota Vikings – recorded three tackles in a 42-14 loss to Cincinnati
SEASON: Has seen action in all 15 games, recording 48 tackles on the season.

John Carlson – TE – Minnesota Vikings – did not see action (moved to injured reserve) in 42-14 loss to Cincinnati
SEASON: Has seen action in 13 games this season, catching 32 passes for 344 yards and a touchdown.

Kyle Rudolph – TE – Minnesota Vikings – did not play due (moved to injured reserve) in 42-14  loss to Cincinnati
SEASON: Started every game this season before getting injured, catching 30 passes for 313 yards and three touchdowns.

Harrison Smith – S – Minnesota Vikings – made seven tackles in 42-14 loss to Cincinnati

John Sullivan – OL – Minnesota Vikings – started at the center position in 42-14 loss to Cincinnati

Zeke Motta – S – Atlanta Falcons – saw action in 34-24 loss to San Francisco

J.J. Jansen – LS – Carolina Panthers – Saw action at long snapper in a 17-13 win over New Orleans

Derek Landri – DL – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – saw action in 23-13 loss to St. Louis

Michael Floyd – WR – Arizona Cardinals – caught one pass for 31 yards and a touchdown in 17-10 win over Seattle
SEASON: Has started all 15 games this season, catching 59 passes for 950 yards and five touchdowns.

Ronald Talley – DL – Arizona Cardinals (Transferred to Delaware) – did not see action in 17-10 win over Seattle

Ian Williams – DL – San Francisco 49ers – Did not see game action (Injury) in 34-24 win over Atlanta

Golden Tate – WR – Seattle Seahawks – caught two passes for 34 yards in 17-10 loss to Arizona
SEASON: Has caught 56 passes for 769 yards and four touchdowns on the season and has two rushing attempts for 29 yards.
