Meeting A Legend

Aug 17, 2012, 4:01 PM EDT

Some of the Irish football players had a very special opportunity this afternoon. Graduate student Kapron Lewis-Moore sent the following tweet after his visit with Rev. Theodore M. Hesburgh, C.S.C. (University President Emeritus).

Father Hesburgh, who turned 95 in May, served as Notre Dame’s president for 35 years, before retiring in 1987. His office is located on the 13th floor of the library which bears his name, and he has received more honorary degrees in his lifetime than any other person.

Pictured in the photo with Kap and Father Hesburgh are graduate student Jamoris Slaughter and junior Danny Spond.
