A big day yesterday for former Notre Dame student-athletes as two brought home their league’s championship, one of the most respected names in their sport found a new home and a former soccer star represented the United States in World Cup Qualifying.

Yesterday’s trivia question might have been the most difficult we have come up with thus far (Who was the last Notre Dame men’s basketball player to see playing time in the NBA Finals?). After numerous attempts, many people just gave up the search for the right answer. One person did not. On his seventh and presumably final guess, @ND419 correctly answered Donald Royal. Royal was a teammate of Shaquille O’Neal, Penny Hardaway and Horace Grant (Jerian Grant’s Uncle) on the Orlando Magic when they played the Houston Rockets in the 1995 NBA Finals.
