Irish In The NFL – Week Three

Throughout NFL training camps, 41 former Notre Dame student-athletes participated in team drills and games. At the end of camp, 27 (24 who finished their career at ND) former Irish football players made active NFL rosters, while three were put on the injured reserve and practice squads. Below, you will find all the former Notre Dame student-athletes and how they did in their week three games in the NFL.

Active Roster

Sam Young – OL – Buffalo Bills – saw game action in a 27-20 loss to the New York Jets

Will Yeatman – OL – Miami Dolphins (Transferred to Maryland) – saw game action in 27-23 win over Atlanta

Brady Quinn – QB – New York Jets – did not see any game action in 27-20 win over Buffalo

Darrin Walls – CB – New York Jets – saw game action in 27-20 win over Buffalo

Tyler Eifert – TE – Cincinnati Bengals – caught one pass for seven yards in a 34-30 win over Green Bay

Trevor Robinson – OL – Cincinnati Bengals – did not see game action in 34-30 win over Green Bay

Ryan Harris – OL – Houston Texans – saw action in 30-9 loss to Baltimore

Cierre Wood – RB – Houston Texans – rushed twice for four yards in a 30-9 loss to Baltimore

Sergio Brown – S – Indianapolis Colts – saw action at safety position in 27-7 win over San Francisco

David Bruton – S – Denver Broncos – saw action in a 37-21 win over Oakland

Anthony Fasano – TE – Kansas City Chiefs – was inactive in 26-16 win over Philadelphia

Manti Te’o – LB – San Diego Chargers – did not play due to injury in 20-17 loss to Tennessee

Justin Tuck – DE – New York Giants – recorded two tackles in 38-0 loss to Carolina

Theo Riddick – RB – Detroit Lions – has two rushes for negative-two yards and a reception for eight yards in a 27-20 win over Washington

Joe Fauria – TE – Detroit Lions (Transferred to UCLA) – caught one pass for five yards and a touchdown in a 27-20 win over Washington

Robert Blanton – DB – Minnesota Vikings – recorded one tackle in 31-27 loss to Cleveland

John Carlson – TE – Minnesota Vikings – caught one pass for three yards in 31-27 loss to Cleveland

Kyle Rudolph – TE – Minnesota Vikings – caught five passes for 28 yards in a 31-27 loss to Cleveland

Harrison Smith – S – Minnesota Vikings – recorded five tackles and an interception in a 31-27 loss to Cleveland

John Sullivan – OL – Minnesota Vikings – started at the center position along the offensive line in a 31-27 loss to Cleveland

Zeke Motta – S – Atlanta Falcons – did not see action for Falcons in 27-23 loss to Miami

J.J. Jansen – LS – Carolina Panthers – saw action as long snapper in 38-0 win over the New York Giants

Derek Landri – DL – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – did not see game action in 23-3 loss to New England

Michael Floyd – WR – Arizona Cardinals – caught four passes for 49 yards in 31-7 loss to New Orleans

Ronald Talley – DL – Arizona Cardinals (Transferred to Delaware) – saw game action in 31-7 loss to New Orleans

Ian Williams – DL – San Francisco 49ers – did not play (injured – broken ankle) in 27-7 loss to Indianapolis

Golden Tate – WR – Seattle Seahawks – led team in receiving yards (five receptions for 88 yards) and yards from scrimmage (117 yards) in a 45-17 win over Jacksonville
