Irish In The NFL – Week Four

Throughout NFL training camps, 41 former Notre Dame student-athletes participated in team drills and games. At the end of camp, 27 (24 who finished their career at ND) former Irish football players made active NFL rosters, while three were put on the injured reserve and practice squads. Below, you will find all the former Notre Dame student-athletes and how they did in their week four games in the NFL.

Active Roster

Sam Young – OL – Buffalo Bills – saw game action in a 23-20 win over Baltimore

Will Yeatman – OL – Miami Dolphins (Transferred to Maryland) – saw action in 38-17 loss to New Orleans

Brady Quinn – QB – New York Jets – did not see any game action in 38-13 loss to Tennessee

Darrin Walls – CB – New York Jets – registered five tackles in 38-13 loss to Tennessee

Tyler Eifert – TE – Cincinnati Bengals – caught three passes for 39 yards in a 17-6 loss to Cleveland

Trevor Robinson – OL – Cincinnati Bengals – did not see game action in 17-6 loss to Cleveland

Ryan Harris – OL – Houston Texans – started at tackle in 23-20 (OT) loss to Seattle

Cierre Wood – RB – Houston Texans – did not see game action in 23-20 (OT) loss to Seattle

Sergio Brown – S – Indianapolis Colts – registered three tackles in 37-3 win over Jacksonville

David Bruton – S – Denver Broncos – saw action in 52-20 win over Philadelphia

Anthony Fasano – TE – Kansas City Chiefs – was inactive in 31-7 win over the New York Giants

Manti Te’o – LB – San Diego Chargers – registered three tackles in NFL debut in a 30-21 win over Dallas

Justin Tuck – DE – New York Giants – recorded one tackles in 31-7 loss to Kansas City

Theo Riddick – RB – Detroit Lions – saw action in 40-32 win over Chicago

Joe Fauria – TE – Detroit Lions (Transferred to UCLA) – saw action in 40-32 win over Chicago

Robert Blanton – DB – Minnesota Vikings – recorded one tackle in 34-27 win over Pittsburgh

John Carlson – TE – Minnesota Vikings – caught one pass for four yards in 34-27 win over Pittsburgh

Kyle Rudolph – TE – Minnesota Vikings – caught two passes for six yards in 34-27 win over Pittsburgh

Harrison Smith – S – Minnesota Vikings – recorded seven tackles in a 34-27 win over Pittsburgh

John Sullivan – OL – Minnesota Vikings – started at the center position along the offensive line in a 34-27 win over Pittsburgh

Zeke Motta – S – Atlanta Falcons – did not see action for Falcons in 30-23 loss to New England

J.J. Jansen – LS – Carolina Panthers – BYE WEEK

Derek Landri – DL – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – did not see game action in 13-10 loss to Arizona

Michael Floyd – WR – Arizona Cardinals – caught five passes for 87 yards in 13-10 win over Tampa Bay

Ronald Talley – DL – Arizona Cardinals (Transferred to Delaware) – saw game action in 13-10 win over Tampa Bay

Ian Williams – DL – San Francisco 49ers – did not play (injured – broken ankle) in 35-11 win over St. Louis

Golden Tate – WR – Seattle Seahawks – caught three passes for 17 yards in 23-20 (OT) win over Houston
