Irish In The NFL – Week Seven

Throughout NFL training camps, 41 former Notre Dame student-athletes participated in team drills and games. At the end of camp, 27 (24 who finished their career at ND) former Irish football players made active NFL rosters, while three were put on the injured reserve and four on practice squads. Below, you will find all the former Notre Dame student-athletes and how they did in their week seven games in the NFL.

Active Roster

Sam Young – OL – Jacksonville Jaguars – was released by Buffalo and claimed by Jacksonville then saw action in 24-6 loss to San Diego

Will Yeatman – OL – Miami Dolphins (Transferred to Maryland) – saw game action in 23-21 loss to Buffalo

Brady Quinn – QB – New York Jets – did not see any game action in 30-27 win over New England (according to reports, has been released)

Darrin Walls – CB – New York Jets – played defensive back in 30-27 win over New England.
SEASON: Has seen action in seven games, starting three while tallying 14 tackles and four pass deflections.

Tyler Eifert – TE – Cincinnati Bengals – caught three passes for 45 yards and a touchdown in 27-24 win over Detroit
SEASON: Has started all seven games this season for the Bengals, catching 22 balls for 270 yards and a touchdown.

Trevor Robinson – OL – Cincinnati Bengals – did not see game action in 27-24 win over Detroit

Ryan Harris – OL – Houston Texans – started at tackle in 17-16 loss to Kansas City

Cierre Wood – RB – Houston Texans – did not see game action in 17-16 loss to Kansas City (recently released by Texans)

Sergio Brown – S – Indianapolis Colts – tallied three tackles and a fumble recovery in a 39-33 win over Denver

SEASON: Has seen action in all seven games this season, tallying seven tackles and a fumble recovery.

David Bruton – S – Denver Broncos – saw action in 39-33 loss to Indianapolis

Anthony Fasano – TE – Kansas City Chiefs – started at tight end and caught four balls for 27 yards in a 17-16 win over Houston
SEASON: Started three games (inactive for four games due to injury), catching eight passes for 61 yards.

Manti Te’o – LB – San Diego Chargers – recorded four tackles in 24-6 win over Jacksonville
SEASON: Started four games (inactive for three games due to injury), tallying 17 tackles.

Justin Tuck – DE – New York Giants – tallied four tackles and a sack in a 23-7 win over Minnesota
SEASON: Has seen action in all seven games this season, starting six, accumulating 28 tackles and 1.5 sacks.

Theo Riddick – RB – Detroit Lions – saw action in 27-24 loss to Cincinnati

Joe Fauria – TE – Detroit Lions (Transferred to UCLA) – caught one pass for 15 yards in a 27-24 loss to Cincinnati
SEASON: Has seen action in all seven games, catching eight passes for 81 yards and five touchdowns.

Robert Blanton – DB – Minnesota Vikings – recorded one tackle in 23-7 loss to New York Giants

John Carlson – TE – Minnesota Vikings – caught one pass for nine yards in 23-7 loss to New York Giants

Kyle Rudolph – TE – Minnesota Vikings – caught three passes for 27 yards in 23-7 loss to New York Giants
SEASON: Has started every game this season, catching 24 passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns.

Harrison Smith – S – Minnesota Vikings – did not see action (injured) in 23-7 loss to New York Giants

John Sullivan – OL – Minnesota Vikings – started at the center position in 23-7 loss to New York Giants

Zeke Motta – S – Atlanta Falcons – Saw action in 31-23 win over Tampa Bay

J.J. Jansen – LS – Carolina Panthers – Saw action in 30-15 win over St. Louis

Derek Landri – DL – Tampa Bay Buccaneers – did not see game action in 31-23 loss to Atlanta

Michael Floyd – WR – Arizona Cardinals – caught six passes for 71 yards in a 34-22 loss to Seattle
SEASON: Has started all seven games this season, catching 32 passes for 416 yards and a touchdown.

Ronald Talley – DL – Arizona Cardinals (Transferred to Delaware) – saw game action in 34-22 loss to Seattle

Ian Williams – DL – San Francisco 49ers – did not play (injured – broken ankle) in 31-17 win over Tennessee

Golden Tate – WR – Seattle Seahawks – caught four passes for 77 yards in 34-22 win over Arizona
SEASON: Has caught 27 passes for 346 yards and a touchdown on the season and has two rushing attempts for 29 yards.
